To earn Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), he completed over 500 hours of coursework in implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Kobak has gathered a group of dedicated, friendly, and empathetic oral health professionals, including hygienists, dental assistants, and dental office administrative assistants to care for his patients.

Diagnodent Laser Cavity Detection

We prefer to find tooth decay it in its earliest stages, before more invasive restorative measures like crowns or root canals are required to correct it. Dr. Kobak uses DIAGNOdent to find areas of demineralized tooth enamel, which occurs in the earliest stage of decay. If decay is detected in this stage, re-mineralization may be able to ward off a cavity, or a small filling can be immediately placed.

DIAGNOdent uses a laser diode to inspect individual teeth by comparing baseline wavelengths of healthy teeth to wavelengths of teeth that are vulnerable to decay. The DIAGNOdent tool is narrow and pen-shaped so that patients' teeth can be screened comfortably. With this technology, X-rays may not be necessary, therefore saving our patients time and comfort. Dr. Kobak will inspect each susceptible tooth to hunt out teeth in demineralization stages so that we can offer you the most minimally invasive procedures.
