Richard J. Kobak, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Kobak was born in Brooklyn, N.Y in 1965. He attended college at New York University and dental school at State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating in 1989, near the top of his class. Upon graduating, Dr. Kobak was accepted into North Shore University Hospitals general practice residency where he then continued as chief resident for a second year.

Dr. Kobak then associated in one of the more prestigious general practices in the area for three years. In 1994, he continued his own practice where he is presently, in Plainview, N.Y. In addition Dr. Kobak is a clinical instructor at North Shore University Hospital in their general dentistry division and has received several outstanding attending awards. He lectures and works helping recent dental graduates to continue their postgraduate training.

Dr. Kobak has a true passion for dentistry, spending many hours on continuing education. In 1994, he was one of the youngest to receive the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, which recognizes an extensive commitment to advanced education. This included over 500 hours of course work with an emphasis on cosmetic and implant dentistry. He participates in several local dental study groups and was a past president of the Long Island Dental Study Club. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Nassau County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and participates on the Acethetics internet dental forum for continuing education.

Dr. Kobak has been married since 1989 to Amy and has two daughters Jaime and Blake. He also enjoys playing golf, bowling, and various other sports.
