NTI Appliance (Migraine Headache Treatment)

Migraine headaches and jaw pain are problematic for many people. It has been shown that excessive activity of the trigeminal nerve results in excessive jaw muscle contraction during certain stages of sleep. This hyperactivity results in teeth grinding, clenching and frequent chronic headaches. This small dental appliance, acts to separate the back teeth which minimizes jaw muscle activity. We can usually make this device on a same day basis in our office so it can be utilized immediately by our patients. We have been using this conservative appliance for over six years with a very high success rate.
